Resonance App ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Resonance mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Local Data (Stored on Your Device)
The App stores all your personal practice data locally on your device. This includes:
- Breathing session history and statistics
- Streak and achievement progress
- Custom breathing techniques you create
- App preferences and settings
- Notification/reminder schedules
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to this information.
1.2 Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to improve the App. This includes:
- App opens and session duration
- Feature usage patterns (which techniques are popular)
- Device type and operating system version
- General geographic region (country level)
- App crashes and errors
This data is aggregated and anonymized. We cannot identify individual users from this data.
1.3 Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the App crashes, we may receive crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics. These reports contain:
- Device model and OS version
- App version
- Stack trace and error information
- Time of crash
Crash reports help us identify and fix bugs to improve App stability.
1.4 Subscription Data (RevenueCat)
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous user identifier
- Subscription status and purchase history
- Device identifiers for subscription restoration
We never receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple/Google account credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Improve App features and user experience
- Fix bugs and technical issues
- Understand which features are most valuable to users
- Manage your subscription status
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We share anonymized data only with:
- Firebase (Google): For analytics and crash reporting
- RevenueCat: For subscription management
These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements.
4. Data Security
Your personal practice data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometrics, encryption).
Analytics and crash data transmitted to third-party services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the App or clear App data
- Analytics data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months
- Crash reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days
- Subscription data: Retained by RevenueCat as required for subscription management
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Delete Your Data
To delete all your local data, simply uninstall the App from your device. All session history, preferences, and achievements will be permanently deleted.
6.2 Opt-Out of Analytics
You can limit analytics collection by:
- Enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS
- Opting out of personalized ads on Android
6.3 Subscription Management
To cancel your subscription or request subscription data deletion, please manage your subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. International Users
If you are located outside the United States, please note that anonymized analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
